Home favourite Nikolaos Plytas Iliadis claimed the men’s tricks gold medal, as waterskiing took centre stage at the Mediterranean Beach Games in Patras, Greece.
Nikolaos scored a total 7,100 points to win the gold medal ahead of France’s Tanguy Dailland with 6,890 points, and the bronze to his fellow countryman Alexandre Poteau 5,260 points
In the women’s tricks event, Camille Poulain Ferarios (FRA) came out on top winning the gold medal with 3,150 points ahead of Greta Tagliati (ITA) 2,860 points, while IWWF’s International Hall of Famer Angeliki Andriopoulou (GRE) came third with 2,620.
The 2019 Mediterranean Beach Games is in its second edition held from 25th to 31st August 2019 in Patras, Greece with 26 countries competing in 11 sports.
