150 riders from 22 countries will compete in the 2022 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships in Rieti, Italy this week from 25th to 30th July 2022.

Riders will take to the water today to compete for IWWF World titles in ten age-group categories for both men and women (14 & Under, 18 & Under, 30 & Over, 40 & Over and Open) and team overall titles.  The event will offer a USD50,000.00 cash purse to riders competing in the Open Men’s & Women’s category.

Italy who won the Team Overall title in 2015, will be looking to do so again on home soil with 2015 IWWF Open Men's Champion, Massimiliano Piffaretti, and 2019 IWWF OpenWomen's Champion, Alice Virag, on its Team.
