“Dear Friends,
It is now just two days since dear Kuno lost his battle with pneumonia here in Switzerland. What a shock that was as he was ill for such a short time. I am especially sad that Kuno was not allowed to have a healthy and peaceful life for a few more years as he certainly deserved them. During our 40 years together, we had a very rich and interesting life with his favorite sport of water skiing and carrying out his duties as a Skier, Official, Secretary General, President Europe and World  President. We made so many good friends all over the world. I am especially grateful to all who have sent such kind messages to me during these past few days. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
Kuno and I enjoyed so many wonderful years together and for this I am very grateful. I will feel his loss forever but knowing that he had so many friends and admirers makes me proud of his many wonderful achievements.
Best wishes to you all.

Vreny Ritschard”
