Felipe Franco Belmont – Peru
The month of April has been one of new IWWF World Junior Records. The IWWF World Waterski Council has approved another new IWWF World Junior Boys Trick Record today.
This new record was set by Peru’s Felipe Franco Belmont with a score of 11,260 points on 16th March 2019 at the South American Beach Games held in Rosario, Argentina. Belmont won the gold medal in the men’s trick event with this record-breaking score.
In response to being asked how it feels to break the IWWF World Junior Boys Trick Record Felipe said, “First of all, I would like to thank my coaches: Jimmy Siemers, Camilo Espinel, and Thibaut Dailland. Also, my family, the Peruvian Federation and government, and my teammates. Without them, this achievement wouldn’t have been possible. Most importantly, I would like to thank Puerto Roldan for the incredible conditions and hospitality, making me feel like being at home. Special thanks to the judges, especially Chief Judge Felipe Leal. I am very proud of this record as I have been working very hard to do it. This is not the end, I am hungry for more records.”
The previous IWWF World Junior Boys Trick Record of 11,090 points, set by Patricio Font from Mexico, was only approved last week.
Congratulations to Felipe Franco Belmont who is currently ranked #11 on the IWWF Dynamic Rankings list.
