9th December 2020

Attention: National Federations, Confederations, IWWF Council and Committee members,

From the 1st January 2021, the new IWWF Anti-Doping Rules will come into force.

There are changes with which you should familiarise yourselves and your athletes, so please circulate these rules as quickly as possible to all your athletes.

Equally these can be found on IWWF’s Anti-Doping website.

At the same time WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) has introduced the new 2021 List of Prohibited Substances.

The list attached does show the changes made in readiness for 2021 and will become effective on the 1st January 2021.

Again, this information needs to go out to your athletes and officials so all can understand the changes.

The link to the Prohibited list can be found at the following link:

All information about Anti-Doping can be found on the  IWWF’s Anti-Doping website, including but not limited to:

  • Education tools to assist you in coaching your athletes and officials
  • Obtaining Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE’s) should these be needed by your athletes
  • Athletes rights
  • Various leaflets and videos about the doping control process

Remember it is your role to make sure your athletes are clean competitors and to educate them about the dangers of doping.

If you have any questions on this subject please contact either gill@mywaterskiemail.com or CleanSport@IWWF.sport

With best wishes for a much better year in 2021.
