14th March 2020
Over the past weeks, the world has experienced unprecedented changes in the way we travel and live our day to day lives due to COVID-19.
With the above in mind, the IWWF World Barefoot Council advise that the 2020 IWWF World Barefoot Championships will be postponed to a date to be confirmed.
Moving forward, we understand this is regrettable, yet under the circumstances understandable.
The Local Organising Committee (LOC) has made every effort to alleviate this outcome. Unfortunately, force majeure has led to this announcement.
The New South Wales LOC will in the coming months monitor the situation closely with a plan to reschedule the event with a revised date for late 2020.
We appreciate your understanding.
