6th July 2022
More than 170 riders from 25 countries are expected to compete in the 2022 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships in Rieti, Italy from 25th to 30th July 2022.
Riders will compete for IWWF World titles in ten age-group categories for both men and women (14 & Under, 18 & Under, 30 & Over, 40 & Over and Open) and team overall title. The event will offer a USD50,000.00 cash purse to riders competing in the Open Men’s & Women’s category.
The 2022 Centurion Ri230 has been named the Official Towboat of the 2022 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships.
The Ri230 is the smallest of Centurion’s Ri series but has made a huge splash with its introduction because this 23-foot boat on its Opti-V hull generates incredible waves and wakes that defy its compact size.
With 20 degrees of dead-rise at the transom, the Opti-V Hull displaces more water with less weight while preserving a great rough water ride and creating killer wakes. Centurion engineers have added several lake life-improving refinements to the Ri230 for as many as 14 people. The 2022 Centurion Ri230 includes Centurion’s Remote Engagement Continuous Optimization Network (RECON) telematics by Osmosis, Lay-flat Sun Pad Lounge Seats, Revo 12-inch by 12-inch side-by-side touch screens, all new available RAMFILL2 or as Centurion calls it the “Baller” ballast system, the available Range of View (ROV) bow to stern camera system with live fuel usage data, and the available Centurion Shift Thruster System by CMI.
Lago del Salto is an ideal venue to demonstrate the capabilities of the Ri230 and show off the skills of the world’s best riders. This reservoir created by a hydroelectric dam offers controlled water levels and ideal conditions for wakeboarding and has been the venue for multiple IWWF European Championships.
The 2022 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships will be organised by the Italian Waterski & Wakeboard Federation, in collaboration with Club Nautico Varco Sabino Wave (CNVS WAVE).
The event will be live-streamed all 6 days
