29th December 2019

The Ghana Waterski & Wakeboard Association (WWAG) was formed in December 2018 and officially recognised by the Ministry of Sports of Ghana in July 2019. The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation formally accepted the WWAG as an affiliate member at its Congress in August 2019.

The Director General of the National Sport Authority (NSA), the President of the National Olympic Committee (GOC) and the Minister of Youth and Sports made an official inauguration of the WWAG on 4th December 2019.  Furthermore, they took the opportunity to make an inspection of a site in Accra that will become the new cable wakeboard training site for the Ghana Federation. This is great step forward for the development of the sport and its activities in the country.
