IWWF Asia was pleased to announce at the medal presentation ceremony of the 30th South East Asian Games that the 2020 IWWF Asian Waterski & Wakesports Championships will be hosted by the Korean Waterski & Wakesports Association at Chuncheon, South Korea.

The event will be held from 1st-6th September 2020 and include for both males and females three-event Waterskiing (slalom, tricks and jump) Open, U17, Masters +35, Masters +45, Wakeboard (Open, Junior and Masters) and Open Wakesurf (Surf), Open Wakesurf (Skim), Juniors (Surf/Skim combined) Master  (Surf/Skim combined).

Chuncheon hosted the 2009 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships, 2010 IWWF Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup and 2012 IWWF Asia & Oceania Championships.
